First, take the D39, an asphalt road at the north exit of Morne Rouge.

It ends at an altitude of 820 meters with a parking lot located on one of the flanks of the volcano.

Let the climb begin!...

The first goal is the ascent of the Dome de l'Aileron at 1108 meters, a rather steep, muddy, and sometimes slippery section.

Continue on a trail that joins the edge of the caldera at 1220 meters altitude. (The caldera is the edge of the volcano crater)
