At the beginning of the 20th century, Bucharest was also known as "Little Paris," as the city’s old districts were home to many grand houses built in Parisian styles.

Indeed, toward the end of the 19th century, several French architects, such as Paul Gottereau, oversaw the construction of numerous homes and buildings, including the famous "Romanian Savings Bank," here at the end of the street.

This architectural style was even dubbed the "neo-Romanian" style.

Furthermore, France holds a special place in the hearts of Romanians.

Proof of this: the iconic "Dacias."

These emblematic Romanian cars, shown here, were produced for three decades based on the model of the French Renault 12!
